Applications for NZJEP (New Zealand Japan Exchange Programme) funding are also open. The programme funds a broad range of educational and cultural activities in the form of visits to New Zealand or Japan by educators or artists.
Aim: to deepen understanding between New Zealand and Japan on a broad educational and cultural basis.

1. Educational
a. Japanese Language Teaching and Learning in New Zealand
b. Exchanges at the Secondary and Higher Education (Tertiary) level
c. Research
2. Cultural
a. Cultural practitioners themselves, i.e. artists, musicians, dancers, craftspeople, film-makers, writers, actors, etc.
b. Curators, archivists, conservators, etc.
c. Academic/cultural personnel, i.e. art historians, etc.
